Oh. My. Goodness.
This was just one of those experiences that captured my heart. I have found a song that draws out the deepest expression of my soul. And it’s all because of Christ that I can join in and praise with this group of joy-filled Believers.
When you can look back over your shoulder … to the places you’ve been in life … and you look at where you now stand … and say with all confidence knowing full well that He set you free.
If you are in Christ, you are standing in the best place you could ever find yourself.
Of course, you may have some wonky circumstances to wade through — you may even be standing in some pretty murky waters. But you don’t stand alone. You won’t swim alone. Never will you be alone.
Because of Christ.
Go ahead, Friend — shout that Hallelujah to the One Who set you free!
Because those old places in our past, well, we’ve moved past all of that and into the newness of life.
It is my heartfelt prayer that you can say with all honesty, that Jesus is (your) Lord. Yes, personal and up close Savior. Right here. Living within you. Because He does that when you invite Him in.
If you’re not standing on the side of eternity that guarantees you life, if you’re not sure about where you even stand, then I invite you to bow down in humility and surrender the chaos, craziness, stormy weather of your life to the One Who came to lighten your load simply because He loves you. You don’t have to get cleaned up or perform any mind-bending acts. He’s done it all for you. The only thing to do is open the door to your heart, Friend, and let Him in.
