Loved.
Accepted.
Treasured.
Wanted.
Sit back, Sister, and just relish in the moment of being cherished. Because you are sought after by He Who spoke the world and the entire cosmos into being. Let that settle on you for a bit.
And while you were perfectly designed, living in this fallen world of ours can cause us to come up a hot mess. We may have strayed a ways from where we should be. From who we were created to be. Who He purposed us to be.
In spite of the stuff that we’ve gone through and the terrible backdrop we’ve painted, He loves us with an everlasting love. Never loved us more than He does right now. He will never love us any less even when we could care less.
The Apostle John got it right and he made sure we knew how he believed Jesus felt about him. In the Gospel according to John, the Apostle refers to himself as, “the one Jesus loved.” Hence, John has been coined as the beloved.
Jesus didn’t play favorites. And yet His friend, John, chose to testify that he knew beyond the shadow of doubt that he was loved by GOD.
We, too, are the ones He loves. He came just for you. Just for me. With the Apostle John, we can also declare without hesitation that we are the one Jesus loves. So, let’s live like we believe it.
