41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.
As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. Luke 8:41-44 NIV
On this designated day in time, GOD turned things around in an unexpected way.
A man named Jairus sought out Jesus to plead with him for the sake of his dying twelve year old daughter. While enroute, Jesus encounters a woman who had been suffering for the same length of time — those same twelve years — with a blood disease. As she reaches out in faith, Jesus heals her. That same faith that Jairus had for his daughter, in reaching out to Jesus, ultimately healed her as well.
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. Luke 8:40 NIV
Are you expecting Him to turn things around for you, Sweet Friend? He is able. Keep pressing forward. So many of us can attest to the difficulties we’ve lived to tell about. GOD’s Will is Sovereign and perfect. His Timing is never what we would carve out for ourselves. And while we think that He is motionless or delaying, He is creating the perfect moment to show you Who He is and what He can do in the middle of your situation.
7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him. Jeremiah 17:7 NIV
And when you have encountered the Living Christ, please tell somebody.
39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him. Luke 8:39 NIV
