Lift Your Spirit

As a child, it is all we want when things are scary and dark — to be carried by someone with big strong arms that can wrap around us and just hold us until that darkness passes. Oh, the sweet comfort of that protective embrace.

But who can do that for us as an adult? Who has the ability and strength to make the scary things in life not feel so threatening? Who wants to take the time to lift and carry you … carry me?

Jesus does. And He wants you and me to know that no matter how bleak and ugly it looks out there — He is there to carry us.

Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). Psalm 55:22 Amplified

Curled up in a ball of fear and intimidation, may we cast our eyes on the One Who is already bending down to remove the straps of the baggage we have loaded with all our worries, problems, issues of life. He just wants to hold you, Friend. Let Him carry you.

Whatever is weighing you down today, Sister, the Lord is there. He meets us right where we are — always. Because He doesn’t leave us or forsake us. Look up and reach up.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
