Lift Your Spirit

Whatever situation you are sitting in right here, right now, this very moment … there is Someone Who is longing to touch you and make you whole. The circumstances may not instantly disappear, you may have some ugly consequences to face … but He wants you to know that you’re not meant to go through any of it alone.

¹³ For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 ESV

Speech … such a gift. It enables communication. Communication provides opportunity for community. Community builds relationships.

Some of us are bilingual, trilingual, quadrilingual. You have mastered more than one language and are capable of experiences in a myriad of circles with unlimited people with which to enjoy life.

The greatest of all experiences is found in a relationship with the One Who died to give you everything you could ever need: Jesus. Sounds pretty incredible, doesn’t it? I know.

But GOD … He’s like that. Incredibly good. And we don’t even recognize the things He’s done to orchestrate the events that led you here to hear this.

GOD would not be Who He is if He were anything less than all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving and all around us.

They say there are no atheists in the fox hole. Down in that dark place of fighting the battle from at the frontlines … who do you call out to when it looks like you may not make it out alive?

So powerful is He, that at the very utterance of His Name the Light illuminates that darkness. Miraculous things can happen. Blind eyes see. Deaf ears hear. Paralyzed legs walk. Death resurrects to life. Broken hearts are mended. Blurred vision becomes clear. GOD is a GOD of restoration and healing.

That’s speaking Jesus. His Name is above all names and can do what no other name tries to do.

⁹ Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, Philippians 2:9 ESV

Speaking Jesus is a privilege that can only be done by those who know Him. You cannot claim a promise unless you’re one of His.

Perhaps you’ve heard this before. It’s possible that you landed here today to hear it in respect to your messy situation. Maybe you’re facing a battle of sorts from the foxhole and it’s not looking hopeful.

Then call on me when you are in trouble,
    and I will rescue you,
    and you will give me glory.” Psalm 50:15 NLT

If you know Jesus, you also know that He is the answer to all your struggles, difficulties, chaos, unanswered prayers … all of it.

Not in a relationship with Jesus? What is holding you back, Friend? You’ve tried so many ways to fix things on your own, but the results don’t seem to last. Or the results you do get are far from satisfying. So, first things first …

² God says, “At the right time I heard your prayers.
    On the day of salvation I helped you.” Isaiah 49:8

I tell you that the “right time” is now, and the “day of salvation” is now. 2 Corinthians 6:2 NCV

It’s time, Sweet Friend. And once you surrender yourself to Him, you, too, will be able to speak Jesus over every aspect of your life.
