Praise doesn’t have to be complicated. The Bible says:
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 NIV
So, if our hearts are filled with praise for and to GOD, it will flow. And that praise has the power to dispel all the negativity that might be closing in on you at this moment. Praise can do that. If you don’t believe it, why don’t you start right here and now? Go for it. Lift your voice the the King of Kings.
You may be in a rough patch at the present moment. Perhaps you’re living out some really ugly situations or trying to make some sense of chaotic circumstances. Maybe you’ve been blindsided by comments, attitudes, behavior, responses — that you just cannot understand or find reason in them.
To all this (and more) I wrap my arm around your shoulder and compassionately relate. Sometimes (a lot of times) things just don’t make sense. Things coming out of left field. Unexpected disappointments. People letting you down. Dreams shattered. Relationships fractured.
I have found that the best way to avoid falling into a deeper pit of depression, despair and negativity is to combat it with praise. It’s going to take courage to go there, Friend. You will be tempted to just fold your cards and go with the flow downstream. To that, I say ‘fight’ with words of praise and watch your attitude elevate to a higher level.
You’re not merely changing your attitude. You are allowing the Spirit of the living GOD to lift your altitude. He does that for those who belong to Him; for those who seek Him with their whole heart.
Let this be the start of a new habit. Let this transform the way you allow GOD to move you and through you.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
