Lift Your Spirit

Seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were looking forward to turning the corner into this year, and here we are ready to do it again.

Are you anticipating great and awesome new beginnings? Maybe it’s a season of wonder and adventure. Or possibly it’s a time of difficult decisions and life impacting choices that are staring at you.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

If you’re like me, you don’t want to repeat mistakes. In fact, the fallout from those are still fresh in the memory bank and scars prove the battles fought. While we may have survived and can tell about it, truth be told, we are determined to steer far away from anything that remotely resembles those foibles.

But by the same token, let’s not become paralyzed by fear and become stuck. Let us commit our way to the Lord — even when we cannot see the next step. That’s that thing called faith. And we take it to Him Who gave us that precious gift of faith. We trust Him to take that little bit of faith and increase it so that we can confidently step into the new year with expectant hope that He will fulfill His Purpose in and through us.

Are you with me, Sister? GOD is not one to say, “Figure it out on your own.”

Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. God has said,

“I will never leave you;
I will never abandon you.” Hebrews 13:5 ESV

No one will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forget you. Joshua 1:5 ESV

You and I would do well to take Him at His Word. If there is any promise keeping, the only trustworthy and faithful One is GOD Himself.

Fear says: I don’t trust GOD. And perhaps your understanding of Him is skewed. If you have a relationship with Him, all you have to do is look at His track-record. But if this is all so new to you, let this be the day you begin your journey of faith. The more you trust, the greater your faith will grow. As your faith increases, your journey with Him will become richer and fuller. Your lens on life will be less marred by fear.

If you’ve got any track record with the Lord, perhaps you need some truthful reminders of Whose you are:

Daughter of the King of Kings

Set apart to do good works that He prepared for you.

Redeemed and called to lead others to Him.

You bear His Image. You are deeply loved. You are the apple of His Eye.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
