Sister, I get you. Some days it’s so very hard to keep going. And I have been there too many times to count, when I, too, have begged the Almighty to please, just, please Lord, take this from me. It hurts and it’s hard. Often, it’s a time (moment, day, week, month, years …) when I withdraw into a dark corner — mistaken that I am suffering alone. Yet, when I come to my senses, I realize that is exactly where GOD reveals and reassures me that He is right there — and always had been. I only had to reach up.
GOD is always near.
I grew up thinking He was way too busy to bother with someone as insignificant as me. That was definitely wrong way thinking. And thank GOD He allowed for me to experience the revelation of that truth. It didn’t happen overnight. I had to open up, let my defenses down, tear down those protective walls of my heart to let others speak truth into my space — and often, directly to my face.
He’s never loved you any less than He does right now, Friend. And He will never stop.
If you’re going through a storm right now, I want to put my arm around you and look deep into your eyes and tell you, “His Strength will get you through. Take hold of His Hand.”
He knows every detail of your situation. He knows all the circumstances you’ve had to deal with. He wrote your story — and isn’t done with you yet. If you exhaled into this last sentence, you can be certain that there’s more grace and goodness up ahead into that next breath.
