“You Are Valuable”

But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
    he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
    I have called you by name, you are mine. Isaiah 43:1 ESV

Created you.

Formed you.

Redeemed you.

Called you.

I am such a visual person, that when I look intently at something, it feels as though it speaks back to me. So, when the Word read me right back, my heart dropped to its knees in humility.

Have you ever felt “not enough” to be who you were called to be?

Has it ever felt as though a dark cloud of inadequacies just seemed to follow you wherever you went?

Perhaps comments from people who were thoughtless or hurting people who just dumped some of their hurt onto you. Whatever the circumstance, it has left you with devastating wounds and you have the scars to prove it.

When I read our Scripture verse here, I find comfort in knowing that He who created me, did so with intentionality — that’s why He formed me specifically as He did. With the quirkiness, the curiosity, the creativity, the compassion to understand and the empathy to embrace. Because I am human, imperfect and sinful me needed redemption — but there’s relationship with Him in this salvation. He didn’t just save me and leave me to figure out life or abandon me to my own devices. He distinctively and purposely called me to do life with Him and for Him.

Because I am His.

And I am worth dying for.

And so are you, Sweet Friend.

Too often, I think we get distracted and derailed by the insensitivity of wounded people. People whose hearts have yet to be healed by the power of the One who made them, continue to ooze with the pain that flows through them. They don’t know they can be made whole. And that’s a very depressing place to be.

When you know that there is Hope, that’s a game changing moment. If you are given a glimmer of light in that darkness, you keep walking towards that Light. I want you to know that He is calling your name.

Jesus has been stirring up controversy for over two thousand years. Let Him stir your soul.

There is no one else who has the ability to breathe life into death other than He. I guarantee you that if you will take Him at His Word, He will reveal Himself to you in the most profound ways.

You’re not some invisible entity that exists to simply take up space. You were:

Created

Formed

Redeemed

Called

Because you are loved.

Don’t let the world tell you anything different, Friend. You are valuable and you have a purpose.

And you will discover what that purpose is if you know the One Who wants to share it and live it out with you as you trust Him throughout the journey.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 ESV
