“Blessing and honor and glory and power to our GOD!”
Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Matthew 6:10 GWT
Jesus taught His Disciples to pray in this manner. According to the Will of the Father, which is already active in heaven. And when we ask for the Father’s Will, we must first acknowledge that He is — Who He says He is. That He alone is Holy.
Only holy can exist in the presence of a Holy GOD. And that is why the Father had to turn His face from His Son on the Cross because Jesus at that moment took on the full guilt of man’s sin.
Perfection exists in Paradise. Calling upon the Will of the Father on earth, that’s a tough act of obedience. It’s no secret, earth is messed up.
I love this song. It reminds me to set my eyes on the Prize: Jesus Himself. I must cast my gaze UP. That is where my hope comes from. Looking at and dwelling on the earthly mess … distracts me from the truth and causes anxiety.
This is a worship song I’ll be hitting the replay button throughout the weekend.
Hallelujah to the King of Kings!
