“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 NLT
When we go shopping for something to wear to a special occasion, we want to make sure that what we select and ultimately buy will look and feel it was worth the money we spent. We have a set of expectations for the value that we seek. After all, we worked hard for the money (go ahead and sing the rest of the song).
Value. We have set the bar for whatever we hold up to it.
And yet when it comes to an introspective look at the woman we see in the mirror, somehow she does not make the cut. In fact, on most days, she’s not even in the same stadium with the other women, much less in the same league. We compare and compromise the value of who GOD says we are from the vantage point of the Cross. That is the perspective from which He sees us.
The value of a woman is defined at the Cross. The value of a woman is demonstrated in the relationships Jesus had with them when He encountered them here on earth. Daughter. That is the value of each one of us. Royal Daughter.
All too often I think we get sucked into the social media frenzy of comparisons and compromise our Crown. Think on that for a moment.
Come and listen to this powerful discussion among friends whose transparency and compassion have won me over a hundred fold. Embrace the Biblical truths that they speak into your space and the next time you look into that mirror be sure to straighten up that Crown.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
