Division comes as the result of arrogance rooted in pride. The Bible even warns us of the consequences.
18 Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 NKJV
How can we ignore the fact that this points us to the events that occurred in Eden? That’s how long we’ve been going off course. My goodness, but the Lord is patient with us. He waits with love in His eyes ~ even after He sent His only Son to show us the Way and we still reject His offer of reconciliation.
This fracture in our world is the indicator of the fracture in our relationship with the Father. Yet, He still calls us … waiting for us to turn around … to humble ourselves, confess and return to Him. Then the healing will begin. But until then … the chaos ensues.
We can be a catalyst for change if we pray and let the love of Jesus flow through us. We cannot merely talk without the walk. We’ve got to put some feet to those unifying ideas and dreams and ignite the world with change until Jesus comes back.
It is my prayer that you will hear the words of this song so well given to us from Kirk Franklin, Mandisa, and Toby Mac. Because we can be part of living out the gospel by showing the love of Christ and drawing others to Him by the way we treat them.
Remember, we really do all bleed the same.
