Hope. I want to speak Hope into your space, Girlfriend. And it is my desire to get up close and in your face with you in this precious moment. Will you let me in just for a few?
To the one whose heart is breaking … the shattered pieces of life seem to be strewn across the floor in a million places … maybe the ache feels so inconsolable … perhaps no one understands or worse yet, it feels as though no one wants to take the time to understand … I am so sorry you are going through this pain …
Sweet Friend, I get you … and I want you to know that there is Someone closer than you think, Who is ready to listen and carry that load for you.
As I pray for you in this very hard moment, He is here watching over you with Arms stretched out towards you, waiting for you to just fall into them. You see, He’s been there, too.
Jesus has been betrayed, forgotten, wrongfully accused, physically beaten, mocked, racially demeaned, accused of hanging out with the wrong crowd simply because He wanted to connect with them to show love … He just wanted to show others the right way to live … He wanted to teach us what we were supposed to know about the Father’s intentions for our lives.
So, if you think no one could possibly understand where you’re coming from or even comprehend with compassion where you’ve been … you’re overlooking the very One Who could turn things around for you because He’s been there.
This place we call life on planet Earth can be a chaotic and confusing place if we don’t know what is real and what is not. There is a better way. But we have to reach for it and yield to it.
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 NIV
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 NIV
Jesus is just a prayer away. And don’t misjudge ~ He’s not expecting to hear fancy words that you may have heard from someone in a suit, standing behind a polished pulpit in nicely pressed clothing, in a huge building with pretty people in it.
Just speak, Girlfriend … and whatever flows out, including the tears that accompany the words … He’s calling them precious in His Eyes.
And if you’re willing to let your heart open up to miracles, especially the one that is on reserve just for you … wait for it … and take Jesus at His Word ~ He’ll make good on it. He promises to do that for you.
If you already know Him as the lover of your soul and you’re going through a really rough patch right now, He sees you right where you are and wants to hear all about it … go ahead, Friend, unpack … He’s got all the time you need …
It’s only for a moment … I really believe He wants you and me to remember that … right here, right now … so keep holding on.
