Lift Your Spirit ~ “Jesus Be The Name”

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 NASB

Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us.” Acts 4:12 GNT

This song is quite clear and uncomplicated: Jesus is the Name ~ that completes and fulfills every need you and I have.

In a world where we are daily bombarded with distractions that vie for our attention to look here or there for the solutions to our life’s problems, GOD has already provided the answer.

We engage in an internal dialogue that argues over the simplicity of GOD’s answer. Wrestling with what tugs at our hearts, souls, and minds … the debate ensues and leaves us exhausted. We insist that our needs require fixing worthy of complex formulae or self-help prescriptive steps.

Surely, there’s got to be more to it than simply calling on the Name of Jesus.

But as GOD would have it, the most simple things are overlooked by those who are determined to find an answer that seemingly matches what we deem as the depth and intensity of the situation.

or the wisdom of this world is foolishness (absurdity, stupidity) before God; for it is written [in Scripture], “[He is] The one who catches the wise and clever in their craftiness;” 1 Corinthians 3:19 Amplified

Friend, let me put you at ease and reassure you, it really is that simple.

Just as we would instantaneously call or text our closest friend or ally to share our troubles, we have immediate access to the One Who can make all the difference for your and my present situation. And we don’t have to worry about the time of day.

He’s closer than your next breath. There’s no formality or special prayers to recite, read, or memorize. Jesus doesn’t require that you establish yourself in a local church membership or participate in any special ceremonial rituals before you speak your first words to Him.

Just call on His Name.

And I’m sure the rest of your conversation with Him will develop from there. Don’t worry about time. He’s all yours. It’s time to make yourself all His.
