“When It Feels Like Everyone Else Has the Life You Wanted – Do You Still See Me GOD?” ~ Toni Collier

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
    will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
    he is my God, and I trust him.

If you make the Lord your refuge,
    if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
    no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
    to protect you wherever you go.

14
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
    I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
    I will be with them in trouble.
    I will rescue and honor them. Psalm 91: 1-2, 9-11, 14-15 NLT

This news break ~ which really isn’t new ~ is brought to you courtesy of (my friend – I call her my friend because I meet up with and listen to her during a portion of my daily workouts) Toni Collier and her Still Coloring Podcast.

I’m sharing this for those who hearts are broken over the dreams and goals that just seem to be getting further and further away … maybe those dreams and goals have even seemed to have faded and evaporated.

Perhaps your current situation is one that is painfully unraveling one onion layer at a time (yes, where those tears are streaming down your face and soaking your pillow during those sleepless nights) … and it feels like there is no end in sight to the madness.

Maybe you’ve had those ugly-cry-face days where you’ve begged GOD to stop the craziness so that you can simply breathe. You get a little reprieve and then something else happens. The hamster wheel just keeps you running to the next incident.

“GOD, how much longer?” Can you relate, Friend?

Take a look at how king David said it:

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
    answer me, for I need your help. Psalm 86:1 NLT

Even a man after GOD’s own heart had his moments. And David had many moments.

If I were where you are in this moment, I would wrap my arms around you and hug you tight, and whisper, “GOD sees you, He knows it hurts, and wants you to let Him go through it with you.”

This brief monologue from Toni will allow for you to examine your thoughts and get real with the Lover of your Soul, Jesus. Toni shares her own personal heartbreaking story with you and how she is walking through it with Jesus, being led daily by the power of Holy Spirit. Yes, she is in real time walking the talk.

This is one of my favorite moments with Toni in this season. Her transparency and no-holding-back warmth invites her listener to lean in, get real, and press forward to allow GOD to heal and renew from the inside out.

Growing-through-pain is a super power for Toni (that’s my description). GOD has allowed for her to go through the ugly stuff of life and she stewards her ‘gifted pain’ for your sake and mine, so that healing can begin, and we can do the same for others.

I don’t want to spoil your experience of hearing from Toni yourself by saying too much, other than you will get hooked if this is your first time listening to Toni Collier. You can find her on YouTube, Spotify, and Instagram, and as one of the guests on several BetterTogether TBN episodes. She also is involved with a special project that now sponsors her podcast: Incredible Moxy.

Her books (for adults and children) are equally powerful and impactful, and I would recommend them as part of your summer reading list: Broken Crayons Still Color, Brave Enough to be Broken, and Don’t Try This Alone.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
