I have heard it said that when you’re feeling off, or your day is going sideways, that’s the time to sing praise to the Lord.
You might be thinking, “Well, that’s exactly when I don’t feel like getting up and doing that!” In fact, you may even come back and tell me that sitting there and sulking in that pit is where you’d rather remain.
Let me ask you, “How well has that worked for you?”
So, I’m going to tell you that in spite of how things are swirling around you in this moment, Friend, it would be the best thing for you to lift your voice to the One Who can turn things around for you.
From your perspective, your circumstances may remain precisely where they are. You may have to face some really hard things coming at you. And I am so very sorry that you’re in that mess.
But what you don’t see is what GOD is doing behind the scenes … before you even say a word.
Let me say that the Lover of your soul is there right where you are going through your mess with you. Yes, Jesus will not leave you to face it alone.
He will fight for and strengthen you to stand your ground if you’ll let your faith rise up within you. And I have found the best way to do that is to speak the truth ~ out loud, with all the boldness and courage in you.
Perhaps finding the right words just doesn’t come easy in times like this. I get that.
So, why not sing it out and release it to the Lord? I can almost guarantee that your spirit will not be the same after you’ve spent some time raising praise. And that’s where the battle will start to move from your hands to the One Who wants to handle it.
C’mon, Girl, use your voice! That’s why you have it. It’s time to let it be heard over your situation. Fill the space you’re in with the sound of your voice raising praise. Sing over the sound of the inner critic in you ~ that’s not the Holy Spirit ~ those aren’t words of truth.
Jesus has the final say. Nothing can change that fact.
Get on your feet and declare the truths of His Word over everything that is trying to destroy and defeat you.
GOD has this. Let’s go!
