You must completely obey the Lord your God, and you must carefully follow all his commands I am giving you today. Then the Lord your God will make you greater than any other nation on earth. 2 Obey the Lord your God so that all these blessings will come and stay with you: Deuteronomy 28:1-2 NCV
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord;
happy are the people he has chosen for his own! Psalm 33:12 GNT
Wouldn’t it be awesome if things always went as planned, or that everything fell into place exactly as we had hoped they would?
The reality behind daily living is that things are bound to go sideways in a heartbeat. And then we are left with the decision to either make things right, or sit back and complain and pout.
There’s always the opportunity to make good on the day GOD gave you. If you woke up this morning, the very breath in your lungs is evidence that there’s purpose for your life, and it’s your responsibility to do something good with it.
The goals and projects that we set out to accomplish, whether they are long range and require years to fulfill, or those that demand a shorter time investment on our part, don’t always go as they should. Disasters derail and can cut the dream and vision back down to original first draft.
However, we keep going … keep working … keep building on those dreams. Because that’s part of who we are. And it’s that mindset that has made us a strong nation.
Our country, the United States of America, wasn’t built overnight, and certainly not by one group of people. We are a country where many have arrived and brought those dreams and visions that have helped build this country. We are a ‘people’ that is made up of ‘many peoples.’
It takes all of us. And all means all.
Let’s not forget that many of our military heroes came from their homelands across the seas, some from places on the other side of the globe to defend this land. My grandfather who fought in WWII was one of them.
So, it will take all of us to keep pitching in to make things better for those coming up behind us. We’ve made a lot of mistakes ~ so we keep must keep moving forward to not remain stuck in those mistakes and not to repeat them.
There’s so much more room for growth and improvement.
We are a people, that by GOD’s grace, have the freedom to worship Him as we please, and pray for one another without fear of persecution. For that, we should get down on our knees and be thankful.
It’s a good day to pray for this land.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
