They say our name speaks to who we really are … our character …
When a baby enters the world, its mother has the dubious honor of filling in that tiny space on the birth certificate — the name by which all the world shall know this child.
Mary was told that her son would be named Jesus, and that He would save His people from their sins. He was destined for redemptive purpose. He was every bit GOD in bodily form.
He would leave a lasting impression on people that encountered Him. Whether they believed Him and accepted His Word as truth, everyone that was in Jesus’ sphere while He walked the earth either walked away happy that they met Him or sad that they rejected Him.
Nonetheless, it is this Jesus whose Name is above every name. And at the sound of His Name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is indeed Lord. When that day arrives, will you be happy or sad?
