Ironically, this song premiered at the beginning of the pandemic quarantine. A historical pause button had been struck and we were all commissioned to draw indoors — to seek refuge from the unknown and unseen assailant of our health and wellbeing.
Can you believe it’s been nearly one year since we’ve made these unexpected adjustments to our lives in the form of mask-wearing, social-distancing, and drive thru – takeout – curbside delivery habits? Hard to believe, but we’ve made it all the way to and into this new year adopting practices that would have been considered contrived for a science fiction movie.
These minor adjustments have shown us and taught us a lot about ourselves — our flexibility (or stiff necked insisting attitude), our love towards our neighbor (or temper tantrum throwing fits) … we’ve gained much about how we live out the Word of GOD within us so that it permeates the world around us.
This song reminds me, as I hope it will remind you, that no matter how dim and dark the situation may seem, GOD still penetrates that darkness — we need only to INVITE Him in.
Be blessed this day as you bask in the Light of the world. Let the warmth of the Son pour over you, Sister.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
