Fall back a few years with me … before the sophistication of music videos existed as we know them today. This energizing song was ‘instrumental’ in motivating and uplifting many of us who were going through some tough times.
Maybe you’re going through a tough time right now.
It’s possible that GOD determined that you would hear the lyrics of this song while you’re contemplating what to do … don’t discount the interruption of your day by something almost unnoticeable … there’s power in these words. Divine power.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. KJV
It’s the end of the week … tired and exhausted from days of long hours at work. You need a recharge; a surge of energy to stay on point and keep your focus. Rather than reach for something that you’ll regret later, let the Holy Spirit fill this small space with the Grace of GOD found in the Word of GOD.
Those eagles that fly overhead — they’re magnificent! Your Creator GOD is allowing you to see their example of flight so that you can grasp the potential for you to do the same — soar with wings above your circumstances.
Consider the marathon runner that runs for hours to achieve her goal. She moves gracefully and almost seamlessly until she completes her race. GOD says that if you wait upon Him, you will also have that same endurance to finish well.
Waiting isn’t easy.
But mopping up after a mess of impatient missteps and poor decisions is harder to deal with.
Could it be that this is the realization of the phrase, “Take your time?” That the GOD of all Creation has allotted for us a specific amount of time for us to wait for Him to act on our behalf? That when we act accordingly, that time is reaped in heaps of blessings for trusting Him?
I’ve learned that it’s how we wait while we’re patiently enduring — this is what matters. Our attitude towards GOD, others and ourselves.
Is there something you’re waiting on the Lord to act on for you?
Take comfort, Sweet Friend — He’s already attended to your need. He’s just making sure you’re ready to receive!
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~

So beautiful put! Lord I need an attitude check. I need to see You in everything happening in my life, and You alone….the Author and Finisher.

Sharon: I’m glad this moment fell upon you, Sister. Sometimes God just does that — He shows up in places least expected to speak to our hearts. What He pours into you this day, may it overflow and satisfy your soul. You are loved!
