There’s no doubt in my mind that we all could use a little encouragement at this moment. Your day, my day, all of our recent and past days … they just sometimes keep speaking into our today. And that isn’t always the best thing to hear. Nor is it always the advice or counsel we should keep dwelling upon.
Some of us, the yesterdays dredge up the darkest times in our memory. And for that, I am learning one simple truth remains:
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, Philippians 3:13 NLT
The One Person who has the power to change the darkness to light says that I don’t have to be held down by my past mistakes. In Him, I have a fresh new start available to me — if I will just take hold of it.
Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. 2 Corinthians 5:17 GWT
This promise is freely available to all of us — it doesn’t have any prerequisites or qualifiers or pre-anythings. You don’t even need to have prior experience or knowledge of GOD. Just an open and sincere heart, Friend. And I can tell you this from personal experience: There are few dependable guarantees in this life. But this is one I am willing to give my life for. You can even give it a try — GOD actually invites you to test Him out.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the person who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8 GWT
Friend, you have everything to gain. What you will lose is the burden of carrying around the weight of those memories that GOD wants to take off your shoulders. That’s freedom. Freedom to live as you were called and created to live.

I love love love every single word you’ve written this morning. It’s as if the Holy Spirit wrote directly through you to me! I was just praying about these exact feelings. I no longer wish to carry the burdensome weight of my past painful memories. I know they are part of my story & I will use them as He leads me to – but they don’t have to be a daily painful burden; I don’t think that is His desire for me going forward either. Your words have been not only a blessing to me today, but also a confirmation. Thank you, my precious Sister!! (((HUGS))) & Blessings ❤️

Kathy: Our Heavenly Father is so compassionate towards us that He continues to remind us that He has forgotten all of what may be holding us back from moving forward in confident faith. I wrestle with that, too. Work-in-progress we will be until we step into Glory. But we can live this earthly life in victory.
