Lift Your Spirit

The eyes are the window to the soul … maybe this is why when we make eye contact with someone a special connection sparks.

So, when we cast our view upwards … not into empty space … but directly into the eyes of the One Who calls us by name … because He created us … what do we see? What do we feel? What do we experience?

Those Eyes look into ours with such love and affection. And I get it … we may hesitate because we’ve been places and done things that we’re not particularly proud of … in fact, some of those old things are downright embarrassing … how can we look into those Eyes of love when we’ve been so far away from anything that remotely resembles acceptable behavior?

But GOD … my favorite two words in all the human language …

He looks beyond all that messy stuff that we’re so desperately trying to hide from Him. Friend, He knew before you even mentioned it to Him. He was there through it all and saw it all. And yet, He still loves you more than you could hardly imagine. Sounds too amazing, but it’s all so true.

No hoops to jump through. No ‘come clean’ sessions or tests or qualifications to meet.

That’s the kind of love we cannot comprehend. But that’s the simple love of GOD. And it’s available to all.
