There’s something about aromatherapy candles burning and sweater weather … pumpkin spice available at the coffee shops and apple cinnamon everything else.
The changing of the seasons … the season of life changing as I stand in the middle of it, wondering if I’ll have the energy to sustain the demands of the movement around me. I know that if I sit still long enough, I can hear GOD whispering, “I’m right here with you.”
Don’t be afraid, because I am with you. Don’t be intimidated; I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 GWT
GOD’s track record with me is truly amazing. I’m sure that if we all paused to consider where we’ve been and the fact that we survived long enough to read this, we can all be thankful for His mighty Hand in our lives — even when we failed to ask for His intervention.
I know, too, Friend, that the enemy tries to derail my thinking (and maybe you’ve experienced this) and suggest that GOD is displeased whenever I approach Him with what I need or want. That comes from wrong-way thinking and originates from seeds that were planted in our minds. Somehow they got watered and cultivated over a lifetime — and like a weed, choked out the goodness that should have grown in its place. I know that when I start thinking that I’m not worthy enough to approach my Heavenly Father, that’s not His desire for my life.
That wrong-way thinking just takes me down that spider hole and causes me to hide from Him — and to conceal what is really longing to come out. That’s not His Character — GOD is loving towards His Children.
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 NLT
I have to remind myself of the fact that GOD sees me as His ‘very own possession.’ That is what resets my mind to think according to His perspective of me — His Daughter. And that’s how He sees you, Friend. Treasured. Valuable. Desired. Worthwhile. Welcomed. Loved.
Will you join me in agreeing to a changing of our mindset? As we watch the leaves turn into their warm and rustic color, let the autumn hues signal to us that we must also intentionally change the way we think.

When we make the effort to follow through on what GOD says in His Word, a blessing is sure to find us.
