Have you ever just dropped to your knees and with every fiber of your body asked GOD to meet you right where you are? I have.
And I’m here to tell you that He is faithful to His Word:
Come near to God and he will come near to you. James 4:8a NIV
It doesn’t get any simpler than that. We think it should be much more complicated. Or that a holy GOD would require us to jump through a few hoops or fulfill a handful of prerequisites. But He’s not like that. The very character of GOD is that He is love. He’s all about relationship. Being in a relationship with GOD, the Creator of the Universe, is to just be in it with Him. He doesn’t ask you to perform any tasks to qualify to be with Him — nothing we could possibly do would ever be good enough for such a holy GOD. So He provided Himself so that we could approach Him.
It doesn’t get any easier than that, Friend. He is all sufficient.
Ask Him to show Himself to you. If you’ve never done this, be prepared to step back and allow Him to reveal His goodness and mercy to you in ways you never imagined. Yes, He will blow your mind!
Open up your heart and just have a moment of worship with Him today … you will find yourself in a different place afterward.
