Are you ready for that first step into the new year? Have you made the conscious decision to look forward with your hope in the living God that created you for great and awesome things?
In order to do that effectively we have to resolve in our heart that fear will not conquer us — because we belong to Jesus. And THAT is the first move in the right direction of the first step.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I am never in need.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside peaceful waters.
3 He renews my soul.
He guides me along the paths of righteousness
for the sake of his name.
4 Even though I walk through the dark valley of death,
because you are with me, I fear no harm.

You anoint my head with oil.

Your relationship with the Lord will determine the outcome of everything that flows from it. That’s not to say that all will be smooth sailing — because that won’t happen. The consequences of decisions (good and bad) made yesterday will still echo into tomorrow. But GOD will make a way for you to live through it with Him.
That relationship, whether it’s totally new or renewed, is the place where your faith intersects with grace. Faith to walk where you never did before, doing things you never did. Grace to go there because GOD will empower you to reach for the courage you need in Him.
You have nothing to fear if you have Him.
Go for Him, Friend, and see. You will not be disappointed.
