Therapy and Theology Thursday

Worry. Anxiety. Frustration. Chaos. Trauma. Catastrophe. Dysfunction.

Go ahead and add to the list. I just brainstormed a handful that immediately flooded my brain in response to the topic here.

I can raise my hand to a plethora of descriptions and circumstances, now that I am looking at this with my eyes wide open. If I’m honest, I’ve not always wanted to admit to being anxious. After all, as a ‘good Christian,’ we’re commanded not to be anxious, right? Self-condemnation and guilt will do that.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1 NIV

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22 NIV

But GOD …

He doesn’t condemn or judge us for our feelings. He wants to hear and heal them. He wants to share them with us and make right the ones that give us the wrong belief about Him or ourselves.

Come and listen for a bit and cast your cares upon Him.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
