Do you have Prayer Warriors in your camp? People that you can call your Tribe of Intercessors that will drop to their knees when you reach out to them with a request that you need help lifting up towards heaven?
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and developing friendships with some of the most dedicated people who will go the distance on behalf of those in need. The ones who will fast and pray for others that are not even on their radar — yet, because someone reached out and made a need known, they were willing to go before GOD Almighty.
Our Prayer Warriors aren’t always in the front row or readily noticeable — but they are always on the frontlines of the battlefield. In fact, if I take a closer look at their lifestyle and demeanor, they’re the most unsuspecting individuals among us. Outward appearances give no indication of the power packed within these mighty soldiers.
Today I’d like to acknowledge these bold saints who spend their time on their knees with their hearts pouring out petitions and arms lifted high to the only One Who can hear their cries. I think that more often than not, we take for granted that our written requests, whether quickly scribbled on church stationery or formally submitted in official email, fall into the hands of those who have nothing better to do with their time. That we mistakenly have concocted this caricature of one who sits anxiously awaiting an assignment to prayer, because they have nothing else going on in their life.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 NLT
Truth be told, there is something very distinctive about a person of prayer. There’s a holy boldness to be reckoned with. A boldness that does not flaunt or boast about their own personal greatness or achievements, rather a boldness that declares an unwavering confidence in the GOD that hears them will answer in a manner of unexpected proportion.
So, let me ask you again: Do you have such a people in your camp?
If you don’t you may want to seek them out at your local church or better yet, speak to your mentor or pastor about how to become one and start a community right where you are.
Nevertheless, listen to my prayer and my plea, O Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is making to you today. 1 Kings 8:28 NLT
“Father in Heaven, You alone have called these mighty men and women of true valor to do Your work in the secret places where bent knees and open hands are the posture of meeting. These modern day saints, reach up and out with undaunted confidence that You hear the voice of one speaking and articulating the deepest longings of those in need. No need escapes You nor takes You by surprise, neither is anything too great for You to handle. El Shaddai, we know You are always near. We lift up these precious saints who willingly give themselves and kneel in the gap between heaven and earth. May we learn from their examples of servanthood and become the same for others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
