Lift Your Spirit

For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6 NLT

Do you need an alarm to wake you up in the morning? Some of us depend on the startling noise to pierce our slumber and get us revved up for the day ahead. Or are you the type of person who can rise from your place of sleep with the illumination of the skies and the sun peeking into your window?

Whatever sort of manner that suits you, you have have carefully chosen it to be that means for getting you ready to face the day.

Sometimes we fall into a spiritual slumber … and need that jolt to wake us up to consciousness. Those dry seasons where we may have either walked away from the Lord, or perhaps, when it feels like He is silent.

The wilderness can be a place of solitude and communion with the Lord — eliminating distractions that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing your relationship with Him. It can be that place of solace and revival. It is possible to be restored, renewed and refreshed in this seemingly barren place, because in it we have our eyes and hearts fixated on the One Who draws near to us as we draw near to Him.

It is also possible that the wilderness you may be in is that place of barrenness and desolation. In which case, GOD has walked with you there to spend much needed time with Him so you can pour your heart out to Him about the pain and agony that surrounds you. This wilderness was totally unexpected, and yet, so deeply needed to help you get back onto the road to refreshing a dry relationship. A place of learning, listening, receiving and recommitment.

There are times when a personal spiritual revival is the answer to our wilderness wanderings. Could that be your situation today, Friend?

Let this be your moment of dead bones coming back to life and let the celebration begin!

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
