What drives you to celebrate Christmas? Is it the thrill of shopping for that special gift for loved. ones? Maybe it’s the gatherings around the table with friends and family. Perhaps it’s in the anticipation of the year-end bonus from the boss. Or is it in the quest to deck the halls with décor and impress the neighbors? Could you just be wanting a good reason to go shopping for festive attire?
This video reminder is a brief recollection of a bookmarked time in history that has kept us talking about it for more than two thousand years after it happened. In fact, we stage likenesses of this phenomenal event on our mantels, dining tables and front lawns.
Let’s not let it just be a passing event that debuts once a year. Friend, this moment ignited the start of life — our lives. Life came down in the form of a baby. Totally unexpected but so terribly needed. Hope entered the world in the most humble way.
For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given;
And the government shall be upon His shoulder,
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

It is my deepest hope that we will all remember with reverence this holy moment in time. Jesus came in the most relational way so that we can have a relationship with Him. He is more than just the reason for the season. He is the Way.
