Lift Your Spirit

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Turning a new leaf — that’s what resolutions refer to as a fresh start. A commitment to doing things differently as you move forward.

Coming into relationship with Jesus Christ — He does the work of making things new. While I trust and obey His leading, He transforms me from the inside out and it’s a guarantee that it will happen even if I mess up.

Resolutions are only as good as I keep the momentum alive and my enthusiasm remains at the highest level. All success depends upon my effort to sustain the progress.

Trusting through faith that GOD says He will do as He promises means I don’t have to know what’s coming up next, but I can confidently believe He is there with me throughout time and will empower me to keep going even when I don’t have the energy to.

I can take in His breath and exhale His life within me. That’s the fresh start I’m after. One that doesn’t need to worry about the outcome — no matter what it looks like. The kind that doesn’t become part of the archived restarts from years gone by.

“What about you, Friend?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 ESV

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 ESV

If you are able to read this, there’s still time to make up your mind. What are you waiting for?

The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness. John 10:10 TLB
