Lift Your Spirit

This is one of those worship songs that needs no introduction. All you have to do is stand to your feet and join in. The rest will naturally flow from there.

It’s no secret that we choose to hold on to memories that have meaning in our lives. It really doesn’t take much recollection of how good — I mean flat out GOOD — GOD has been to me over the course of all these years. And I’m quite sure you can echo the same.

If you’re struggling with being grateful or thankful at this moment, I am so, so sorry that you are having a difficult time. If your initial thoughts are, “You don’t know how I’ve been struggling lately … that it takes every waking moment to get to the next …” My heart breaks for you, Friend. Because you opened your eyes this morning … took that first breath … and the oxygen was already in your lungs and the blood already flowing in your veins. Long before you considered the complexity of your present situation.

And while it may take some time before you or I see visible or tangible physical changes in the circumstances we are living in, we have to admit that our existence is dependent upon the faithfulness of GOD to sustain us. He believes that He can trust us with it. He gives us the strength and courage for the day.

Surely your goodness and love will be with me
    all my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 NCV

None of us have the right to demand the next breath. And yet, we inhale into it without a thought. We take for granted the exhalation of the next. Faithfulness on a divine level — that should leave us breathless.

Come … and take a moment to refresh your memories … or create new ones … His Faithfulness chases after us — perhaps it’s so that we would remember how much we are loved by Him.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
