Better Together TV: Trusting GOD in the Unknown

It’s winter in this neck of the woods so I invite you to join me for a cup of hot tea today — have it the way you like it — swirling cinnamon stick, a dash of cardamom, a few drops of milk — just pull up a seat at the table with me and let’s just chat for a bit.

I don’t have to ask you if you’ve ever been disappointed; confident as you and I are sitting here gazing into one another’s eyes, it’s even possible that you’re presently walking through a disappointment as we are here bringing this up.

But Friend, I want to come alongside you as I wrap my arm around your tired shoulders and say, “Me, too … and it doesn’t feel good.”

Whatever the ‘loss’ may be — job, relationship, finances, opportunities, home, people, health — it hurts. That pain, when lifted up to GOD has the power to turn things for the better. We may not experience the miracle that we have hoped for (and for some of us, it’s been a long time waiting), but GOD in His love and mercy has a way of still showing us His faithfulness.

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21b ESV

Though he slay me, I will hope in him; Job 1:21a ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 ESV

Come and join in the discussion. Let it stir up your faith by hearing how pressing into the nature of GOD gives us the power to grow and go forward, even when things are the hardest and we feel there’s nothing left to give.

I’ve been there many times. Has it gotten easier over the years? No. Have I ever asked GOD ‘why’ things turned out the way they did? Yes.

But I am here to tell you, just as these women around the table, it’s in these seemingly cruel and devastating moments that the bitterness of life is sweetened by the presence of GOD — and not the removal of our pain.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
