15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16 NIV
Knowing what you know, what would you tell your younger self? That’s a question that usually elicits some embarrassment, perhaps a smile or maybe a palm to the face. Because boy, oh boy, there are some regrets that we wish we could have the second chance to turn back the hands of time to make different decisions.
Can you relate?
Life is tough. In fact, whether you’re a believer in Jesus Christ or not, you will probably agree.
What Lysa wants us to consider is the fact that no matter what you may have done, where you may have been, whom you may have done all of that with — there is still hope for you, Friend. Because Hope has a Name: Jesus.
Our lives are not determined by our mistakes — unless we live stuck in them. That’s a choice.
If you truly want to get unstuck and move forward, reach for Hope. He’s ready, willing, able and available twenty-four hours, seven days, fifty-two weeks, three-hundred sixty-five days.
Most of us can barely look at ourselves when we first awaken in the morning — you know, that tangled bed head and sleepy-eyed dragging body in the mirror. But consider this: Jesus calls you gorgeous. So much so, that He won’t leave you. That leaves me speechless!
Come alongside of me and listen to this tender and transparent testimony of a life that has been through its share of hardship, but has continued to thrive because of Hope. He does that to a person.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
