And one called to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!” Isaiah 6:3 ESV
If I may say this song is the Christ Follower’s anthem. There’s very little that I can even say to bring this worship song to you. Once you quiet your soul to receive its message, you, too, will find yourself in a posture of praise and adoration.
You and I both know that from one day to the next, life is unpredictable.
And yet, if you will reach up … from what you may be feeling to be the darkest and forgotten depths of your season … to raise praise … you, too, Friend, will begin to feel the presence of He Who is able to turn it all for good. I say this from my own personal encounter — many of them.
Yes, it is definitely ‘easier’ to shout a hallelujah when life is going smoothly. But where is your faith in the good times? It’s almost as if your faith is at its strongest when in the midst of that storm. Let that sit with you for a bit.
So, perhaps this is a challenge for you to consider. Maybe life stinks at this moment. It’s very possible that you really are not in the ‘mood’ to lift up your hands and praise GOD. I get you, Sister — I’ve been there so many times myself. But what if …
You did it anyway? Nothing to lose here. Except maybe your skewed perspective. You see, Friend, you’re looking at your circumstances as if they’re permanent. They’re not. Especially if you know the Name Above All Names. That Name is Jesus.
Hit the replay all throughout the day and see if it doesn’t change your disposition. Your circumstances may very well remain where they are. But hope will infuse you. Faith will well up inside of you.
Jesus wants so much to be part of your day, your life, your mess. If you will just trust Him, I guarantee your day, your life and your mess will transform — and so will you.
You may find yourself singing, “How great is our GOD” before the end of the day and living in the newness of those words.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
