Lift Your Spirit – “Praise”

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6 NIV

King David has taught us so much through the words he penned in the Psalms. Even when David was not feeling like he was victorious or when his enemies were on the hunt for his soul, he knew enough to look up and draw his strength from GOD Almighty.

I don’t know about you, but it’s hard for me to praise the Lord when it looks like everything around me is smothering the life out of me. Really hard.

Years ago, I heard how King David repeatedly did this. Even in the face of death. He had enough faith in him to remember that GOD is the only faithful and trustworthy one. And if we still have breath, He is not done with us. Period.

So, we need to get into the habit of raising praise in every — every — circumstance. Because let’s get real, Friend, circumstances are ever changing. GOD is the only constant. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn’t change based on climate, mood swings or bad hair days. We are so fickle it’s hard to conceive a consistency could even exist. But He does.

Get up and rejoice in this praise song, Sister. Get your dance shoes on and lift your voice with me. I’m going to download it for my workout playlist. I think we can set a trend at the gym singing this one on a treadmill or elliptical.
