Lift Your Spirit – “Battle Belongs”

 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.” 1 Samuel 17:47 ESV

The horse is made ready for the day of battle,
    but the victory belongs to the Lord. Proverbs 21:31 ESV

The hardest battles – the ones with the most at stake – are fought in the unseen realm.

Whether you are dueling with mental or emotional circumstances, the most fallout is actually not all that visible to the naked eye.

We are spirit and body beings – GOD created us that way. The tangible and touchable part of us can be repaired with tools placed within skilled hands. But the inner man – the spirit being – that part can only be healed by the Spirit of GOD Himself.

Every person is in a battle, you just may not see it with your human eyes. However, your heart may perceive a heaviness or burden in a person’s mannerisms. You may detect words that are evident of a shattered life as she describes where she has been and possibly where she sits now. The surface smile may very well be concealing hurts and wounds that have existed for years.

The game changer is knowing that whatever the battle is for you (me) today is not going to be won by any human strategy or intellectually devised plan. GOD, when given our biggest or smallest battles, has the opportunity to flip those into the most inconceivable testimonies of victory. You have to let Him have it – all of it.

Are you tired of trying so hard to go forward that you’re falling further behind? Is this your declared last rodeo with your defiant giants?

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 ESV

Let the One Who can (and is more than willing to) transform more than just your situation and circumstances have His way with your mess. He wants you to trust Him with the details, while you’re in the process and for the outcome. You will have the rest of your life to thank Him. And you probably will.
