Lift Your Spirit – “In Jesus Name”

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 1 John 5:14 ESV

Resolute. That has become one of my favorite words. Why? Because it is a character trait that I was lacking for far too long. In fact, if I may be (embarrassingly) honest, I never really knew what it meant. Until I took that step and made the decision to seek the definition. Ironically, that was actually part of the discovery.

According to the Oxford dictionary, the definition of resolute is: being admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering. It further adds that a resolute person has the courage to act with conviction in the face of uncertainty and risk.

That’s the profile of the woman of GOD that stands in her faith believing all the commands, promises and precepts found in His Written Word (the Bible) and lived out loud in the flesh (Jesus Christ) and lives her life by the leading of His Spirit (the Holy Spirit). Yes, that’s the woman I aim to be.

This soulful worship song resonates that compassionate persona. She is resolute in knowing that her GOD is faithful and trustworthy in all things, especially in answering prayer. She prays with confident assurance for:

Healing

Breakthrough

Revival

Restoration of Faith

Yes, she is fully convinced that the mighty Name of Jesus has the Power to do the miraculous. She has a track-record with Him ~ so she knows that He makes good on His Word. And she believes that if He did it once, He can do it again.

Friend, do you have that blessed confidence that you can call on the One Who made heaven and earth and He will not only hear you but answer you?

We can be steadfast and determined about a lot of things in life: our careers, our dreams, our plans for the future, our plans for our children … but are you so connected with the One Who loves you more than you could ever imagine, that you are resolute about His care and compassion towards you? Are you able to say with all certainty that you have the courage to act with conviction in the face of uncertainty and risk, and step out in faith, without immediately seeing your miracle? Are you resolute on the promises of GOD?

Perhaps this is your defining moment, Sweet Friend, to become resolute about the power of the Name of Jesus.

Sit back, let the words of this song minister to your soul and be blessed.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
