But Lord, you are our father.
We are like clay, and you are the potter;
your hands made us all. Isaiah 64:8 NCV
Have you ever had the pleasure of playing with clay? You imagine crafting something special that no one else can shape or mold. Only find out that it doesn’t quite turnout the way you had hoped.
So, you try again and again. Finally your work begins to reveal some kind of recognizable form. You cast aside the unused pieces and they fall to the floor or they’re tossed into the garbage.
When the Lord designs and crafts each one of us, He lovingly and intentionally forms us with His Hands, knowing that the extraordinary features will serve purpose according to His Will for our lives. Nothing is wasted. There is no backup plan for the design. Starting over to remake is not even on the Artist’s Mind ~ He makes no mistakes and has no regrets. He gets it right the first time.
I pray that this song will minister to your soul today, Friend. Perhaps you’ve had some rough moments or you’re presently in a really hard season where the present circumstances just don’t make sense ~ or life is just plain messy.
Those fragments of broken and shattered dreams are redeemable in the Hands of the Potter. That mess you’re trying to deal with is not bigger than the GOD Who loves you. Trust Him with it ~ all of it. He doesn’t want you to dedicate anymore time or energy worrying about it. Surrender will lighten your load and free your soul.
Let this song take you to a place of stillness and quiet, and allow the Peace that passes all understanding to overflow ~ let it pour over your situation ~ and may the calm renew your hope in the Living GOD ~ the Master Potter.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
