As summer draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on how fast time has flown. Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was cleaning off the patio furniture and creating a comfy sanctuary for me to bask in the sunlight?
This causes me to come to grips with the fact that we have all grown one breath closer to seeing Jesus in person. Let that marinate for a moment.
I’m sure your lives are busy and for some of you, they’re equally action-packed with work, school, and kid activities that can make those days seem like the span of that breath.
And in the midst of those days things are happening that we least take notice of ~ the only significance being that someone else points out a highlight of one of those blurry days.
I know that I can easily take things for granted, simply because they are seemingly routine or a pattern of habit.
When I think about the documented miracles that Jesus Himself performed while He walked the earth, it blows my mind that some folks simply did not attribute His power as having come directly from GOD. In fact, He was wrongfully accused of being demonic by the religious leaders, the very ones who proclaimed to know GOD.
Jesus Christ was persecuted by the Pharisees for having performed miracles on the Sabbath.
That said, was it so “common” for miracles that it mattered if they happened on a specific day of the week? *scratching my head*
And for the ones in the middle of the miracle itself … were they consciously aware in the moment … of the ‘divine download’ of GOD’s touch being manifested in their person as it was actually happening?
If I place myself in their sandals, I may think that the realization of the GOD-breathed event was real when they obeyed the command to ‘rise and go,’ instructed to live forward knowing they were made whole and restored. They felt the physical manifestation of change ~ being different ~ which ultimately led to them living forward changed and different since they had come in direct contact with the living GOD.
Sweet Friend, I encourage you to exercise your power to pause in this moment to soak in the realization that you are walking in your miracle. It may have just begun to manifest, so if you haven’t experienced the fullness of it yet, continue to wait expectantly. You’re in the middle of it. All the more reason to start the praise party now …
Keep taking those steps of faith because you are a Daughter of the Omnipotent GOD Who always finishes what He starts.
