This is my current situation. I’m making a public statement here: Game Changer.
Wherever you are in your Journey, Girlfriend, there are guidelines and boundaries that protect your goals. These borders exist in an effort to assure the accomplishment of the objective(s). But sometimes these guidelines, borders, and boundaries “prevent” us from fully experiencing Game Day.
If you’re like me, I welcome “change” ~~ as long as I know when it’s going to happen ~~ and better yet, if I’m the initiator of the change. In other words, as long as I’m in control I’m all about that thing called “change.”
But what if the Game Changer is God? What if He is the “change agent” and has a completely different agenda for me to experience on this Game Day?
Malachi 3:6a “I am the Lord, and I do not change.
God has already been down our Journey ~~ this is so hard for us to remember ~~ He knows the outcome; He has our best interests at His Heart, so we truly should trust in Him. But there’s that controlling spirit within us that fears releasing everything in His Care.
You see the Scripture passage above? It plainly says that God does not change. He isn’t fickle like we are ~~ our agendas are changeable based on our emotional highs or lows on any given day. But our God is constant. Sounds almost ironic doesn’t it? To let the unchanging One be our Game Changer.
I must confess that I wrestle with this just as much as anyone else on the planet ~~ letting go of my agenda sometimes requires pliers to release the tight grip that I have on my list of projects.
Proverbs 28:26 Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.
And you know what I’ve learned, Girlfriend? When I finally pry open my hands to release my day to The One Who gave it to me in the first place, He Blesses me in ways I could not have imagined. So to keep my hands fisted actually prevents me from being Blessed.
I must take a step back ~~ allow God to be my Game Changer on any given day ~~ and I’m sure it’ll be a winner of a day!
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~ now, get out there and get in His Game (I have a feeling His Way will prove to be the BEST strategy and “game plan”).
