Most of us would agree that when something is empty it has nothing to give. However, in God’s Plan for us, there was a moment when empty equaled full, and in our favor!
The empty tomb that is often referred to on Resurrection Sunday is more than mere symbolism of the Christian Faith ~~ it is the distinct evidence that God The Father raised Jesus His Son from the dead. It’s pretty hard to argue with stone evidence that reveals the truth of God’s prophetic Promises. And Girlfriend, did you see to whom this was first revealed? The women in Jesus’ inner circle ~~ His closest women disciples ~~ those who followed Him throughout His earthly ministry and to the bitter end of His death and burial.
The empty tomb opened up to allow them to be filled with joy!
As they approached the tomb I’m certain their pulse rate was off the charts when they saw the Angel sitting upon the stone that once sealed off the entrance to the crypt ~~ the site where their Rabbi and dearest Friend had been laid to rest. The stone that represented finality to their relationship with Jesus. I’m sure their hearts were all a flutter and their hands must have shook when they beheld the burial clothes that lay limp and lifeless. Just a couple days ago they had witnessed the horrific torture and death of Jesus ~~ they had taken the time to gather and prepare spices to anoint His body as was their custom. But all that was changed in an instant ~~ because God emptied the tomb.
Yes, God emptied the tomb ~~ the symbol of death, the end of life ~~ so that we could be full of life and to abundance!
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Girlfriend, let me ask you: “Have you allowed God to roll away the stone that blocks the entrance to your heart so that you might be truly filled with Him? Or have you been living in the darkness of a tomb, shut off from the light of His forgiveness and life-breathing love?”
If you’ve never accepted the love of Christ, then chances are you’ve been living among the dead; Jesus came to set you (me) free from the graveyard of sin and to breathe life back into our soul so that we might have eternal with Him beyond this earthly life. Yes, there is more to life than just mere existence and survival.
Come into the light of His Love and live!
John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
You can be ‘resurrected‘ this very day ~~ your life can be restored, because you have already been redeemed ~~ you simply must receive.
John 1:12-13 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
If you’re not certain of where you stand in relationship to God, take the first step now and be welcomed into His Family …
“God, I don’t know where all this will lead to — and I don’t know what lies ahead — but I do know that if I keep doing things my way, I will only dig myself deeper into that dark and lonely grave. Your Word declares that if I place my trust in You, I have everything to gain and in abundance — so I gladly give it all up because I’m tired and exhausted, frustrated and disappointed. Forgive me, Lord, and save me from this ugly sinful life. I want to be whole; I want to have purpose; I want to know You. I’m trusting You to do a work in me as I cast my every need upon You. I humbly receive You now as my Savior. Lead me and guide me from this day forward. I’m stepping back to let You empty me of the dirt and junk so that You can fill me up with more of You. Thank You for loving me so deeply. Amen.”
Sweet Sister, if those words reflected the condition of your heart, welcome to the Family and Body of Christ! You have been born again and given the blessed assurance of eternal life. Seek out a Bible teaching local church where you can grow and mature under the leadership and guidance of a Pastor and get involved in a women’s small group Bible study so that you can immediately begin to form solid friendships that will build you up in the knowledge and love of Christ.
Stay close and let me know if you need any additional assistance.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
