Shame and guilt are difficult topics to articulate since the emotions are quick to come flooding out at the same time — at least, that’s how I see it.
Jim Cress has a wonderful acronym: S-H-A-M-E= Self Hatred At My Expense. I hadn’t thought of it that way.
This session will put many of us at ease, helping to decipher the distinctions between things like conviction, guilt, shame and condemnation. But most importantly, it will shed the Light on the importance of our identity in Christ to overcome the shame that shrouds over us after a traumatic experience and the critical necessity of connection within the Body of Christ to remain in that Light.
May you be blessed by this session with Lysa, Jim and Joel.
