3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness. Psalm 145:3 NLTIt is so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind of life, that we miss out on the opportunity that is available to us. In fact it beckons us.
Come … lift your praise to the One most worthy to receive it! Raise your voice and let your complete inner being join in on the celebration.
You may be shaking your head or even hanging it low. “But you don’t know what I’m going through.” You’re right, I don’t. “You don’t know what I’ve done.” Correct, that I do not know.
But GOD …
He’s got all the details on everything — including the stuff you’ve forgotten. He was there through it all. And I’ve got some good news for you about that mess: If you’re alive and reading this, He’s not done with you yet. You have a purpose.
2 He died in our place to take away our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all people. 1 John 2:2 NCV
If you are in Christ, you are forgiven, Friend. If you don’t know Him as Savior, come … you don’t have to move one micrometer from where you are in this moment. That stirring in your soul and that heartbeat that is now picking up its pace is your defining place in time where you can humbly meet up with the One Who has loved you through all (and all means all) the messes — yes, plural — of your life (that includes the ones to come) and says, I came to set you free from the bondage of all of that.
Jesus didn’t come for ‘good’ people. He came for the broken ones tired of living in the shadows of shattered dreams and fractured relationships, poor decisions and scarred hearts, war-torn bloodied memories that are too painful to regurgitate … those seeking wholeness, forgiveness, healing, comfort, assurance, peace, love, calm, mercy, grace … everything that you and I have sought to attain … but in our own humanness couldn’t possibly come close.
He came to show us that He is the Way.
6-7 Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!” John 14:6 The Message
Come Friend … make peace with He Who is Peace. Lay it all down at His Feet. Nothing will take Him by surprise — you won’t hear Him scold you or holler at you or make you crawl on your knees a million miles before you can say what’s on your heart. Let Him take you by the hand, pick you up and show you how to walk.
17 The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit.
O God, you do not despise a broken and sorrowful heart. Psalm 51:17 GWT
9 If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 GWT
No special recipe, no list of to-do’s, no obstacle course, no prepping, no priming, no clean-up act to fulfill. Right where you are — Jesus will always meet you right where you are.
No matter where you are. No matter who you are.
You’ll be able to join in this song of celebration understanding ‘worthy is the Lamb.’
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
