The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV
GOD came down to earth and lived among us. He came in the form we didn’t expect: skin. He arrives in the most humble of surroundings: in a stable. Born to two young earthly parents who were trying to just be obedient to their calling in life, not quite understanding the gravity of Who had just graced their presence.
Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? The Supreme GOD in a baby’s body — about to turn the world upside down.
Why would GOD Almighty want to even get near these imperfect and sinful humans? Love.
It’s always been about love. His Love. His Love for us. His Love for you. His Love for me.
It’s necessary for us to personalize that, Friend, because His presence in our lives is personal — it’s a very personal relationship.
Perhaps this is a season when you are calling out to Him for a miraculous answer to long awaited prayers: family, financial, career, mental, emotional, dreams … let Him enter those places where your heart yearns for Him to respond. And be still as you wait for His Whispers.
