This song has been floating around in my head for several days now ~~ it’s an old familiar hymn, and one that I’ve not heard in church for many years now ~~ nonetheless, it brought back memories of being in that small neighborhood church where I came to embrace my Savior.

But the song seemed to just “pop” into my frontal lobe days ago when sadness began to overshadow my day. And that’s when I KNEW God was ministering to my spirit and lifting my soul.

He does that, Girlfriend ~~ He is the “lifter of my head” when I’d rather let it hang low and wallow in my sorrows. I wasn’t always attuned to the Holy Spirit this way ~~ maybe you can relate ~~ I used to just “go with the flow” and sulk in my depression or ‘bad days.’  

However, the more I read about how “the steadfast love of The Lord never ceases,” and these lessons came only from The Written Word of God (the Bible), the more “the walls came tumbling down.” The walls that would construct a barrier to letting His Love “lift me up.” 

So when this song continued to stir my spirit and my soul actually felt renewed and refreshed, I realized the power of God in the praising of His Nature ~~ even in the midst of my lousy disposition.

For the split second, I did experience a change in attitude. However, it didn’t remain. I had to choose to allow God to do His Work through me and ultimately TO me. The more often I hummed and sang this song, the more improved my outlook ~~ and eventually my posture and position and disposition transformed. 

While my circumstances remain with little changes, my HOPE and FAITH have increased ~~ that the God of the Universe would reach down and bless me with His Lovingkindness ~~ and grant me the Grace to experience His unmatched LOVE!

“Yes, I will BLESS Thee, O Lord ~~ in the midst of trials and sorrow, in the deep of sadness ~~ with my hands lifted UP and my mouth filled with Praise ~~ for YOU have given me a ❤️of thanksgiving ~~ I CHOOSE to Bless Thee, O Lord!”
