It’s that time again ~~ the revered October ~~ the recognized month for breast cancer awareness.
In the recent months, I’ve encountered three women in my circle of Friends who have been diagnosed with the dreaded disease, and are now actively fighting for their lives. May God give them strength!
Being made aware of the struggles of those whom I care for has shined a new perspective for me ~~ the fight begins before the battle.
If we do not have it settled in our hearts and minds ~~ to rise up and become stronger than we already are ~~ the battle is two-fold: mental and physical.
The apostle Paul was always encouraging the Gentile Churches to strengthen themselves as a whole by strengthening one another individually through developing their faith and remaining steadfast and true to the commands of Christ. Paul was relentless in building up the Body of Christ by constant fellowship and unified worship.
And he reminded the Believers to not leave anyone behind in their troubles. As our verse says to bear one another’s burdens … just as Christ bore our burdens. This very act could very well help turn around someone’s situation.
As we busy ourselves into the yearly activity of fundraisers and such, let us also reach out ~~ “hitting the streets,” if you will ~~ with the love that covers all for all eternity.
James 2:20 The fact is, faith has to show itself through works performed in faith. If you don’t recognize that, then you’re an empty soul.
Let the world see that the Body of Christ does attend to both the physical and spiritual. And let God receive all the Glory!
If you are in your fight against breast cancer (or any other cancer or devastating illness), let us join you in prayer for healing and restoration. Simply respond here, Sweet Friend, and let us bear your burden with you❣️
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
